Come Home: A Call Back to Faith James MacDonald God is very concerned for individuals who wander from the truth and find themselves far from Him. Most of us either know a wanderer or have personally experienced what it's like. And there are multiple examples of wanderers in the Bible, such as Peter, Thomas, Samson, and the prodigal son. These biblical characters represent the variety of qualities found in people who wander today: fearful, doubtful, sensual, and willful. Come Home is an invitation to all wanderers and to those who love them. It is a call to a greater awareness of the disconnected and hurting. And it is a challenge to believers to bring back those who are missing. About the Author James MacDonald (D. Min. Phoenix Seminary) is married to his high school sweetheart, Kathy, and both are from Ontario, Canada. He is the father of three grown children and grandfather to six amazing grandsons. James has committed his life and ministry to the unapologetic proclamation of God’s Word. In 1988, with eighteen people, James and Kathy planted Harvest Bible Chapel, which now ministers to more than 12,000 people at seven campus locations across Chicagoland each weekend. In addition to his preaching ministry, James began Walk in the Word, a Bible-teaching ministry, on one radio station in 1997. Today the radio broadcast reaches more than three million people daily, and the Walk in the Word television program, starting in 2014, has a daily audience that extends around the world. In 2002, through James’ leadership the church-planting ministry Harvest Bible Fellowship was founded. By God’s grace, more than 100 independent Harvest Bible Chapels across North America and internationally are now impacting their communities with the truth of God’s Word, with the vision of planting 1000 churches. James’ extensive ministry also includes a training center for pastors, a year-round camp, a center for biblical counseling, a disaster-recovery organization, and an accredited Christian school—all used to reach more people with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. James is the author of several books, including: Act Like Men; Vertical Church; Lord, Change Me; Lord, Change My Attitude; When Life is Hard; Always True; and Gripped by the Greatness of God.
